An Incident Response Plan (IRP) is a document that guides you through the process of reporting and dealing with a cyber incident. Its goal is to identify security incidents, get the situation under control, reduce the impacts caused by the threat actor, and limit the time and costs of recovery.

IRPs need to be adjusted to fit your business’s individual needs, structures, and processes. There is no one-size-fits-all IRP. However, Cowbell offers an IRP template that you can use to get a headstart, and our risk engineering team is happy to help you fill in the gaps to make your IRP foolproof.
